Ha Dong District Police said that 9 people escaped the fire at a motel on the morning of May 30. Of these, 2 were rescued by local residents and 3 were rescued by police. 4 people escaped on their own through the fire escape to the house next door.
At about 5:30 a.m. on May 30, a fire broke out at a boarding house in Phu Luong ward, Ha Dong district, Hanoi.
Upon receiving the fire alarm, Hanoi Police dispatched 5 fire trucks and dozens of police officers to the scene.
