Nearly 340,000 car license plates are about to be auctioned in the fourth round from May 25.
The fourth auction of car license plates will begin on May 25 with a total of 339,780 license plates. Of which, Hanoi is still the locality with the most license plates put up for auction.
On May 22, Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Van Long signed Decision No. 3765/QD-BCA-CSGT approving the fourth auction plan for automobile license plates. Accordingly, a total of 339,780 license plates will be put up for online auction and will begin listing from May 25.
Hanoi is still the locality with the most number plates put up for auction with 60,230 plates, followed by Ho Chi Minh City with 34,520 plates, Nghe An with 12,870 plates, Thanh Hoa with 12,060 plates, Dong Nai with 10,770 plates,...
According to the Ministry of Public Security, the starting price and deposit are still 40 million VND, the bidding step is 5 million VND. The winning bidder is the person with the highest bid within the prescribed time and in accordance with the regulations issued by the auction organizer.
Within 15 days from the date of announcement of auction results, the auction winner must pay the entire auction winning amount after deducting the deposit amount into the Ministry of Public Security's specialized collection account. The auction winning amount does not include vehicle registration fees.
In the fourth license plate auction, the auction organizer is still Vietnam Auction Joint Stock Company (VPA) under the management and supervision of the Traffic Police Department - Ministry of Public Security.
The auction service fee for each successfully auctioned car license plate paid to the property auction organization is calculated at 8% of the starting price. The auction fee paid to the property auction organization is 10,000 VND per car license plate put up for auction.
Previously, the third auction of car license plates, which started on March 11, had a total of 188,399 license plates put up for auction. Of which, the Hanoi license plate with five 9s 30K-999.99, which was paid VND30.655 billion on the morning of April 5, still holds the record. However, the management agency did not announce whether the person who won the auction for this license plate completed the payment or waived the deposit.
