The 1975 Spring General Offensive and Uprising opened with the strategic breakthrough victory of the Central Highlands campaign and was followed by the quick, resounding victory of the Hue - Da Nang offensive campaign.

On March 29, 1975, after 22 hours of rapid and fierce attack, our army completely liberated Da Nang.

We have smashed the enemy's strategic intention of clustering, greatly changing the situation, position and strength between us and the enemy, creating a turning point and conditions for certain victory for the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign, completely liberating the South and unifying the country.
