Ministry of Home Affairs provides latest information on salary reform implementation progress from July 1

Acting Director of the Wage Department, Ministry of Home Affairs Nguyen Bich Thu provided new information on the development of guiding documents to prepare for the implementation of wage reform from July 1.

At the regular Government press conference on the afternoon of March 2, reporters asked the representative of the Ministry of Home Affairs to inform them about the progress of completing the guiding documents to implement the new salary policy reform from July 1 and the completion time.

Responding to this content, Acting Director of the Department of Wages, Ministry of Home Affairs Nguyen Bich Thu said that implementing Resolution 27 of the 7th Central Conference, 12th tenure on reforming salary policy for civil servants, public employees, and armed forces; at the same time, based on the conclusion of the 8th Central Conference, 13th tenure, the resolution of the 15th National Assembly, the Prime Minister immediately issued a decision and issued an implementation plan.

This plan clearly stipulates specific tasks and contents, clearly assigns responsibilities to ministries and local agencies, and ensures the best implementation of the resolution's goals and progress as required.

In which, the Ministry of Home Affairs is assigned to take the lead in advising on the drafting of a report and reporting to the Politburo on specific contents of the new salary regime.

At the same time, it is also necessary to state the impacts of reforming wage policies on social insurance policies, preferential subsidies for meritorious people, and social subsidies.

"After receiving the directive, we must immediately implement it to focus on doing it early, and report to the Politburo for comments. After receiving the Politburo's comments, we must develop a decree to submit to the Government and promulgate the new salary regime," said Ms. Thu, adding that in the following years, a decree will be developed to adjust the salary regime according to the Central Committee's conclusion.

The Ministry will have 10 guiding circulars.

In addition, the Ministry of Home Affairs will coordinate with relevant agencies to draft documents for the Party, National Assembly, and Government agencies, complete documents, and implement the new salary regime.

"Regarding the report to the Politburo, we have completed the documents and are preparing to submit them to the competent authorities before submitting them to the Politburo for comments. After receiving comments from the Politburo, it will be the basis for agencies to issue documents. The Government will issue a decree on salary regimes for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and armed forces," Ms. Thu added.

Regarding the National Assembly, Ms. Thu said that there will be a resolution of the Standing Committee on the new salary regime for civil servants and public employees of agencies under the National Assembly, People's Councils at provincial and district levels, courts, prosecutors, and the State Audit.

At Party agencies, there will be a decision from the Secretariat on the new salary regime for Party agencies, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations.

Along with that, the Ministry of Home Affairs will have more than 10 circulars guiding implementation and will try its best to ensure progress according to the plan issued by the Prime Minister.
