Hai Duong compatriots in Hai Phong meet at the beginning of the spring of Giap Thin 2024
On the morning of February 18, at To Hieu Political School (Hai Phong), the Hai Duong Association in Hai Phong held a meeting on the occasion of the beginning of the spring of Giap Thin 2024 and to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Attending the meeting were comrades: Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Le Duc Tho; Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Duc Tuan.
At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Duc Tuan informed about some achievements in socio-economic development of the province in 2023.
Last year, despite being affected in many ways by fluctuations in the global economy as well as geopolitical tensions in many regions of the world, with the determination and efforts of the entire political system, the joint efforts of the people and business community in the province, Hai Duong achieved positive results, reaching and surpassing 13/15 socio-economic development targets. GRDP scale ranked 11th nationwide; economic growth ranked 13th nationwide, 6th among 11 provinces and cities in the Red River Delta.
Highlighting the positive results Hai Duong has achieved in the fields of budget collection, investment attraction, especially foreign direct investment, construction of many new projects, intra-regional and inter-regional transport infrastructure, administrative reform, digital transformation... The Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee hopes that Hai Duong people across the country and abroad, and fellow countrymen in Hai Phong City in particular, uphold the spirit of great national unity, continue to agree, and join hands to contribute to building the homeland.
The Hai Duong Association in Hai Phong was established more than 30 years ago. Last year, the association admitted 10 new members; maintained effective member visitation work. Up to now, the association has a total of more than 800 members.
On this occasion, the Hai Duong Association in Hai Phong organized a longevity celebration for 9 members aged 90 and over.
