Hanoi University of Science and Technology opens Pharmacy major
In 2024, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (USTH) will start enrolling students in Pharmacy, bringing the total number of training majors to 20.
According to the announcement of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (Vietnam - France University) on December 30, the Pharmacy major focuses on Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Industry. The program is taught 70% in English, 30% in Vietnamese, for 5 years.
In addition to opening a new Pharmacy major, the school still maintains 19 majors as last year. Of these, 17 majors (including Pharmacy) are awarded degrees from the Hanoi University of Science and Technology, three joint programs with French universities, and dual degrees. The total target is 1,050, an increase of 100 compared to 2023.
In 2024, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will enroll students in four ways, including considering the school's capacity assessment test scores, considering academic records combined with interviews, direct admission according to a separate project, and using high school graduation exam scores.
In particular, the direct admission option is applied to candidates with excellent academic results in grades 11 and 12 and an average score of 9.2/10 or higher in the natural sciences Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Information Technology. In addition, the school directly admits candidates who have won provincial, national, and international prizes in these subjects or have science and technology competitions.
With the method of considering transcripts and interviews, candidates need to achieve an average score of 8.8 or higher. For Pharmacy, in addition to this condition, candidates need an IELTS certificate of 5.0 or TOEFL iBT of 35 or higher.
With the competency assessment test method, candidates will take the test on the computer in 60 minutes. The test consists of 30 multiple choice questions according to the admission combination, each subject has 10 questions.
USTH will organize 2024 enrollment in three phases, with three methods, specifically as follows:

The Mechatronic Engineering Technology major has the highest score, followed by Data Science (24.51), the lowest is Applied Environmental Science - 18.55.
