Tan Minh Duc Cooperative earns more than 8 billion VND in profit per melon crop.

Tan Minh Duc Cooperative, in Pham Tran Commune (Gia Loc, Hai Duong) is harvesting melons to sell to supermarkets and the market at a price of 26-35 million VND/sao, earning a profit of more than 15 million VND/sao, more than 400 million VND/ha, equivalent to last year.

This winter crop, Tan Minh Duc Cooperative planted 37 hectares of winter crops, including 20 hectares of melons grown in greenhouses and net houses. This is a Dutch melon variety with yellow skin and green flesh, yielding 1 ton/sao, harvested from November 2023 to January 2024. With the above selling price, each crop, the cooperative earns a profit of more than 8 billion VND. Growing 4 crops a year brings a profit of more than 32 billion VND. This melon product has been ranked 4-star OCOP.

In addition to cantaloupe, the cooperative is also harvesting cucumbers, priced at 26 million VND/sao, earning 15 million VND/sao; cabbage costs 7-12 million VND/sao, earning 3-4 million VND/sao.

Agricultural products of the cooperative are produced according to VietGAP process, ensuring quality, mainly consumed in supermarket systems and wholesale markets.
