Hanoi voted the "top of the top" culinary destination

The famous travel site Tripadvisor has just announced the list of "Travelers' Choice Best of the Best 2022", introducing the "best of the best" destinations, services, and experiences in the tourism industry based on millions of reviews and opinions from travelers around the world.

In 2022, the list is divided into categories such as trending destinations, picnic destinations, city destinations, winter destinations, culinary destinations... Tripadvisor said the votes were made by people who have actually traveled and experienced.

In the category of destinations for “foodies”, Hanoi (Vietnam) and 24 other locations around the world such as London (UK), New York (USA), Sao Paulo (Brazil), Bangkok (Thailand), Cairo (Egypt)… were honored because “the food here is so delicious that visitors have to come back many times”.

Tripadvisor describes Hanoi as a charming and ancient city, preserving the old quarters, ancient relics and architecture, while also having space for modern developments. Hanoi has changed its name many times, such as Thang Long meaning “rising dragon”, but still preserves the beauty of the past with the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum or the Hoa Lo Prison relic.

Tripadvisor users also recommend more than 2,900 experiences in Hanoi and its surrounding areas. The inner city is easily explored by taxi. Numerous lakes, parks, shady boulevards and hundreds of temples and pagodas add to Hanoi’s appeal.

Earlier last year, Hanoi and Hoi An in Vietnam were voted among the world's top 25 destinations in 2021 by Tripadvisor users. A Hue - Hoi An motorbike tour and a street food tour with local students in Ho Chi Minh City were voted among the world's top 25 experiences in 2021 by Tripadvisor users.
