According to the authorities, at that time, after arguing with many other people, the driver (identity unknown) drove the taxi with license plate number 14A - 299.59 straight into a group of 5 people sitting by the roadside warming themselves.
The head-on collision injured 5 victims, 3 of whom were unconscious at the scene. All victims were taken to Bai Chay General Hospital by local residents for emergency treatment.
Immediately afterwards, the police arrived at the scene to direct traffic and took the driver to the station to clarify the incident.
