The space of Xua Temple has been prepared for the traditional festival, offering incense to commemorate the Great Physician - Zen Master Tue Tinh, which is held for the first time at the district level.
On March 8 and 9, Cam Giang district will organize the Mao Dien Temple of Literature Festival. Before that, on March 5 and 6, the traditional festival of Xua Temple in memory of the Great Physician - Zen Master Tue Tinh will be held for the first time at the district level. Also during this time, the Giam Pagoda Festival will be organized by the People's Committee of Dinh Son commune.
The Mao Dien Temple of Literature Festival is held annually to educate the tradition of studiousness and respect for teachers, contributing to the preservation and promotion of historical and cultural values. In addition to the solemn ceremony, the festival also has many diverse, rich and traditional activities.
On March 7, at Bai Duong yard, the opening ceremony of the chess tournament organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial Journalists Association. After the opening ceremony, offering words to the Saints, and the funeral oration to Saint Confucius and the great scholars... will be the calligraphy contest, "Ring the Golden Bell", thematic exhibition "Mao Dien Temple of Literature past and present", introducing the life and career of Saint Confucius and the great scholars worshiped at the relic, the old examination school; orchid display with the theme "Spring Colors"; calligraphy activities; introducing and promoting OCOP products in the district. At Xua Temple, there will be more folk games, pulse-taking and prescription activities, health consultation for visitors...
Mao Dien Temple of Literature was established to organize the Huong examinations of the ancient Hai Duong town. Xua Temple - Giam Pagoda - Bia Temple are a cluster of 3 relics very close to each other in 3 communes Dinh Son, Cam Vu and Cam Van, worshiping the Great Physician - Zen Master Tue Tinh... Mao Dien Temple of Literature and the cluster of Xua Temple - Giam Pagoda - Bia Temple were recognized as special national relics by the Prime Minister in December 2017.
