Con Son – Kiep Bac Spring Festival scheduled for Feb 18 – 27

The festival is scheduled for February 18 – 27 (the 14th – 23rd day of the 1st lunar month).

Apart from traditional rituals which will remain the same as last year, a new feature of this year's festival will be a bell casting ceremony at Con Son pagoda.

In addition, a Lien Hoa Hoi Thuong (Lotus Festival) will be held after a year of interruption.

The opening ceremony of the Con Son – Kiep Bac Spring Festival is expected to be organized on the evening of February 20 (the 16th day of the 1st lunar month) instead of the morning as in previous years and broadcast live by the Provincial Radio and Television.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Luong Van Cau, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee cum head of the festival organizing board, required functional bodies to focus on intensive and extensive propaganda in various forms from then to the festival opening day to attract numerous locals and visitors; check and replace billboards at the beginning of Phu Luong bridge and the gateways to Hai Duong city and Chi Linh provincial town; hang flags, panels, posters, and decorative lights to highlight the space of Con Son – Kiep Bac relics; continue to check and upgrade the approaches to the two relic sites; complete the festival organizing plan; and give advice on sub-board establishment and assign specific tasks to each member.

Relevant localities should proactively coordinate to ensure security, order, and food hygiene and safety, prevent and fight fires and explosions, etc.
