The Organizing Board of the 2018 Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival held a meeting on August 16 afternoon to pass a plan and assign tasks to its members.

This year's festival is scheduled for September 19 - 27 (the 10th - the 18th day of the eighth lunar month).
A new feature of this year's festival is that the 718th death anniversary of National Hero Tran Hung Dao will be held in the evening instead of the morning as before and telecast live by the provincial Radio and Television.
At the meeting, members of the festival organizing board agreed to develop two options.
Option 1 is to integrate the 718th death anniversary of National Hero Tran Hung Dao with the seal opening and seal mark granting ceremonies at Kiep Bac temple.
Option 2 is to integrate the anniversary with the flower garland and colored lantern festival and fireworks.
The other rituals will be held on the remaining days as usual but innovated to avoid triteness with traditional value guaranteed.
